Happy Birthday To Me!
May 13, 2009Yes, today is my birthday and to celebrate it with you I’ll be giving away 3 different books to 3 lucky winners (each person gets one book)!
The first book I’ll be giving away is What A Scoundrel Wants by Carrie Lofty
The second book is Just Desserts by Barbara Bretton
and the third book I’ll be giving away is Wolf Tales V by Kate Douglas
To be entered to win one of these great books all I’d like to know is are there any special traditions you do every year on your birthday? If so, what are they? If not, what do you enjoy most about your birthday every year?
As far as traditions go every year on everyones birthday we do a special “birthday dinner” with dessert and the birthday person gets to pick what kind of birthday dinner they’d like and what kind of dessert. 😀
Also please read the Contest Rules page and follow them and also when you post your answer to my question please list your 1st and 2nd choices of which book you’d like. 🙂 CONTESTS ENDS: May 20, 2009 at midnight (central time)!
**NOTE: I know a couple weeks ago I said I’d update the Contest Rules page, but I haven’t had a chance to yet… the rules are pretty much the same though the only changes I’ll be making is a little change to the age limit when I’m giving away YA books and I’ll be adding a author daily giveaway rules section and a Hachette Book Group rules section so I’ll for sure post an update to let everyone know when I finally do have that updated… I do appologize… things have just been crazy here lately!**
Hugs,
Dani ~ aka The Romance Book Addict

No special traditions for my birthday. I just enjoy the day with my family. These books sounds wonderful!
by scottsgal May 13, 2009 at 8:46 pmHappy Birthday Dani! Hope your day was filled with fun, books and wonderful memories.
Our birthday tradition is like yours where the birthday person gets to pick where we go to eat. Chuck E. Cheese is a popular choice for the boys. (they’re 7 & 8) My teen and the dh usually stick with either Red Robin or Chilis.
*I have these books so don’t enter me in the contest. Thanks.*
by Leslie May 13, 2009 at 9:45 pmHappy Birthday. My hubby takes me out to eat for my birthday at the place of my choice.

Our tradition is that we always go out for dinner, and my parents always call me and wish me happy birthday (they live in Europe)
by Marie E. May 14, 2009 at 5:27 pmOur tradition includes the birthday person gets their choice of dinner and cake. Anything they want.
by lisa h May 14, 2009 at 7:36 pmHappy Birthday! My birthday is coming up next month and I’m debating whether to spend $400 for a dinner & theater show or $40 at the local Mexican restaurant we go to every couple of weeks anyway.
by Alexandrea M May 14, 2009 at 11:23 pmI don’t do anything regularly, when it’s on a weekend like this time I am more open to something indulgent, but during the week I’m just satisfied to not do any chores!
Happy Birthday!!
We really do not have any traditions about Birthdays in my family. I guess the one tradition that we do have is that we spend it together weather it be at home or out some place.
I would love to read

What a Scoundrel wants
Thanks!!! Nicole
Happy Birthday!
I let the birthday person pick what meal they want. The kids get a choice between $10 worth of candy to split with their siblings or a cake. They usually go for the candy 🙂 My husband and I always pick cake. We have a stuffed monkey wearing a Happy Birthday shirt that we put on the table. The birthday person also gets presents and a balloon.
1)Wolf Tale

Popping in to say Happy Birthday. No traditions other than cake in this house. Though I have to make my own cake but that’s fine by me.
I’ve read What a Scoundrel Wants and Just Desserts already. I would be interested in Wolf Tales.
I hope you had a great day Dani.
by Brandy W May 15, 2009 at 7:40 pmHappy Birthday! No traditions here but I keep wishing my fiancee would start one.
Love to have this.
Thanks,

by Christina Brunetti May 16, 2009 at 7:38 amWe celebrate 3 b-days in a row, my daughter – then 2 days later by bro-in-law and then 2 days later me. So my mom cooks us whatever we want for dinner and dessert! Kinda like what you do! I always want homemade ice cream with strawberries on top!
by Sarah Z May 17, 2009 at 7:57 pmThanks
I touch my parent’s and grand parent’s feet early in the morning to seek their blessings.
by Neha May 17, 2009 at 8:36 pmFrom the past 3years – I live in Boston and they’re in India.. so I talk to them at mid-night and take their blessings.
(Its an Indian tradition to touch the feet of elders to show respect)
Happy Birthday Dani~
Our birthday tradition is usually dinner out and a DVD to watch-birthday person picks : D
You’ve got some great choices there but #1- definitely
Just Desserts and #2 Wolf Tales. Both look like fun.
Thanks for the giveaway.

Happy Birthday! We don’t have a lot of traditions besides cake, candles and singing 🙂 And the birthday person gets to choose the dinner for that night as well.
I would pick Just Desserts for my first choice and Wolf Tales for my second choice.
by Marie May 20, 2009 at 11:54 amHappy Belated Birthday, my birthday was a few days ago! I usually like low key birthdays so normally my husband will pick up some carry out and we rent the chick flick of my choice!

I’m late but I hope you had a happy birthday,

Wolf Tales, i enjoyed reading this book too. My recent published title; True Love Is Not Common, has similar main character as this book. I grew up reading Douglas book’s. Hope you will find this book lovely as well. The web is; http://www.eloquentbooks.com/TrueLoveIsNotCommon.html
